On Friday 10th June 2016 at WV Active Aldersley Stadium over 1000 young people came together for ‪#‎gorunforfun‬ – The Great School Run.

The event, now in its eighth year, was organised by Partnerships & School Support (PASS). Nick Shaffery, Event Coordinator says “The aim of the run is to involve as many primary children in a whole host of activities led by older children from local secondary schools who have helped plan the event.”

Our new team of Kicsters reporters were busy taking photographs and even interviewing local MP Pat Mcfadden.

Colin Thompson, Chairman of Wolverhampton and Bilston Athletics Club, told Kicsters he has been really impressed with the Kicsters reporters and has invited them to support other events in the future.

NICK SHAFFERY

(Event Coordinator)

Hi Rob, Matt and Ben

Thank you so much for all you did on Friday at the ‘Go Run For Fun’ Great School Run event. As you discovered my knowledge of technology is not great but to see and hear all you did on the day was absolutely brilliant, thank you.

Working with the Media Team from Our Lady and St Chad, images on the screen and interviews is just what we needed to really promote the event and show impact.

I look forward to seeing all the photos, etc when you have gathered everything together.

Thanks again

“I didn’t think I’d have the confidence to interview other people, but today has been one of the best days ever”.
