Providing open access youth activities for young people aged 10-18, the Walsall Youth in Unity project is the result of a collaboration between three Walsall-based youth service providers:
Kids in Communication, known locally as KIC, facilitate Kicsters; a digital pop-up youth club for young people aged 10 to 18. KIC delivers local community programmes that meet the needs of young people and empower them to learn new skills, gain knowledge, lead positive social action projects, achieve and improve emotional and social capabilities.
Bloxwich Community Partnership offer a dedicated youth project at Blakenall Centre and offer street based youth projects which are aimed at young people who do not normally engage.
Youth Connect is delivery arm of BMYG Youth Work CIC and works with young people and their families to offer positive activities and support in various areas and communities.
Walsall Youth in Unity is facilitated by One Walsall, a charity which supports the development of the community groups and the voluntary sector.
Walsall Youth in Unity is funded through the Big Lottery and the Department for Culture Media and Sport through the Youth Investment Fund, and launched on Friday 23rd November at Walsall New Art Gallery.
